This tutorial will demonstrate how to create a shiny and reflective effect for your weapons and armor.

Overview
It's a matter of making the armor (or weapon or other item) like that of glass. The effect is controlled by settings inside NifSkope (tested on NifSkope 0.9.8 thru 1.0.6). You'll then need to tweak the diffuse texture (a.k.a. Color Map / Texture), normal map and it's alpha channel to make it look good. Generally, when you just change the NIF properties, you don't get the best effect. Jerros and I learned the initial steps to create the effect by Vagabond Angel. But knowing the steps is a far cry from knowing how to make it look good. It's a game of tweaking, balancing, and re-tweaking that is more of an art t ...

Hello dear Oblivion TES Community. I am very new to this world. My 1st mod was downloaded just the in beginning of feb and I really dont know much more now than then.
I am hoping someone will like my little diatribe and take pity on me to help me---if not..then I hops this just brighteneds your day.

1) I love the Exnems body. But I don't consider this a realism body. I would need the D Cup sagging, low rez/gossemer light look complete with all the white-trash perefinialia. -----I like fantasy! I would also liek to figure out how to put the damn tattoos on it!

2) Wish someone would convert all those pretty BAB dresses over to Exnems.

3) Why cant you mob makers when you put like-15 files in a ...

This is my attempt to create a sort of "entry" location for those wanting to start modding but do not have a clue what to do, where to go or what to ask.

Here is another good place for intro information: Oblivion Mods FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Modding for Oblivion can be done at multiple levels with multiple levels of skill and required knowledge.

[list=1]
[*]Creating savegame characters - This is the process of configuring a character at the start of Oblivion and saving your game.

[*]Creating plugin modifications - This requires a version of the Construction Set and a desire to change something in the game. With this, you can change the stats on weapons and armor, create ne ...

OBMM How-To Site

This is my contribution to the Oblivion modding community.

I will try to accomplish 2 goals:

1. Provide OBMM script examples.
2. Provide tutorials such as how to create OMODs, manipulate images, file organization, etc.

Oblivion Mod Manager (by Timeslip) is a brilliant tool for anyone using or creating mods for Oblivion.

Many people state how they use it but I rarely see OMOD versions being uploaded simple because authors don't want to "force" people to use OBMM, authors don't want to support multiple uploads or authors simply don't know enough about creating OMODs.

I believe I have a solution for this and I call it OMOD-Ready™. If you create yo ...

For a more pleasant to the eye version of the tutorial go here: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=52293&view=findpost&p=400773

If you have any questions about the quest system or anything just send me a message at the TesNexus Forums.

Welcome to Povuholo's quest tutorial. That's me :) I know how complicated the Construction Set can look like, especially the quest system. When Oblivion was released and I looked at the system, I had no idea what to do. But after reading a tutorial (which had mistakes in it, by the way :P ) I sort of started to get it. With the first few stages I kept the tutorial page open so I could check whether I was doing it right, but suddenly I just understood it.
